Rehabilitation for animals is becoming increasingly recognised for being an important adjunct therapy to veterinary treatment. Here at Humanimals we can help with your pets recovery from surgery and injury, injury prevention and improve mobility, help alleviate pain with pain management and enhance quality of life. We will listen to you, and with your vets input, develop an individual program for your pet. Support for you and your pet is available through-out the rehabilitation process.

Laser Therapy

Humanimals is the first veterinary practice in the region to add the Companion Therapeutic Laser. With the addition of the laser, companion animals will receive instant relief of pain, inflammation and swelling associated with soft tissue injuries, trauma, surgery and chronic everyday disorders.

Krystle now works independently through Humanimals following her maternity leave.

Krystle KellyKrystle hails from Southland and graduated from Southern Institute of Technology in 2006 with her National Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

She spent 2.5 years as a sole charge nurse in a veterinary practice in Winton before moving to Dunedin where she worked for Otago-Southland District Healthboard in the gastro-enterology department, Krystle then moved to the School of Veterinary Nursing as a technician, moving swiftly to a lecturer position. She joined our team at the start of 2013

Krystle Kelly, has gotten another New Zealand first for Humanimals, Krystle is the first veterinary nurse to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitative Practitioner through the prestigious University of Tennessee, following an arduous eighteen months of study that started with a block course in South Africa, and culminated in exams (written and practical as well as a presentation) last week in Yokohama, Japan.

She also has completed numerous case studies during the year.
